Josephine, an overworked college student, is stuck in a melancholic rut. However, an encounter with an eccentric stranger leads to a nighttime adventure filled with jazz & discovery.

Stella by Starlight follows Josephine, an overworked and melancholy college student who spends most of her evenings drinking coffee at a jazz club. Despite being a regular herself, she never speaks to any of the other usual faces. One night, Fayette, a seemingly new face, strikes up a conversation with Josephine, claiming to have met her before.
Intrigued by this new stranger, Josephine agrees to embark on a late night adventure, uncovering the roots of her unhappiness and figuring out the motivations of the unusual Fayette. As the night progresses, Josephine is forced to reconsider her devotion to routine as she searches for a new way to define herself.
